On the subject of internet travel expenditure...

This study (from the Centre for Regional and Tourism Research of Denmark), shows a rise of 24% in internet travel expenditure in Europe from 2006 - 2007, and predicts a rise of 18% to €67bn in 2008.

While these figures cover the travel industry as a whole (i.e. all seasons and activities), the increase will be roughly mirrored in the winter sports sector.
